Not a lot of exciting stuff happening today other than the work on the roof. As you will shortly see, we are getting a new roof in just 2 DAYS!!! The house across the street got a new roof just a few months ago, it took them 1.5 weeks to put it on - our roofers are doing it in 2 days!
As I mentioned yesterday, take a look at the shingles, cause that was the last day you were going to see them. When I came home today, this is what a saw, the house was completely covered with the new roofing paper. Not a single shingle was left behind - literally! I walked around the house - they did such a good job in clean-up, I could not find pieces of shingle anywhere.
Just to show you how impressive this is actually, Garth had the inspector come you twice in one day. First they had to completely remove the old roof. Then the inspector comes out to take a look for dry-rout and other issues (Garth had already repaired a small amount of dry-rout in one corner). They then had to put up wood paneling all around (as we when from a shake roof to asphalt, which required paneling), and then the roofing paper. Finally, the inspector comes out again to review. The did this all IN 1 DAY!
