Sept 18th
We've reached the end of the first week, but only 4 days of construction. This weekend is our official move out weekend. We have been taking stuff to storage for the past few weeks, loading up the Sequoia as much as we can, so just a few more car loads and some big stuff are left at this point. We also got the keys to the apartment today, so we'll be moving things over there tonight and all weekend as well.
Jake love building and taking apart things, so he couldn't wait to get out there and help the workers! Jazzy got out there as well after awhile. For their efforts, Garth, our contractor, paid them both $5!
Even though we hadn't quite moved out yet, Garth asked if they could start demolishing the inside. Here you can see they have already removed the wet bar, took the paneling off the walls and cut through the floor to start working on the corner of the foundation.

The foundation is pretty much dug up at this point and ready to be prepped for concrete.

Garth's instructions to his men on which walls to keep and which ones to get rid of.

More removal of stucco in preparation for the roof working in the coming weeks.

They should have just cut this darn thing. Damn "special" trees! :-)

Stucco removal around the back side of the house now as well.

One last image of the house after 4 days of construction.
