It's Friday again! End of week two and nine days of construction. Amazing at how fast and how much work has been done in so little time. The good news is - we did not get any "oh oh's" during the demo time - which is when most issues are found lurking behind the walls or under the floors.
This picture is taken from the vantage point of our old home office looking into the hallway closet - which just happens not to be there anymore, so we're now seeing the old master bedroom.
As noted in the "Plans" video - we are closing up the old master closet door - you can see they have already put a stud there.

Opposite view from one of the pictures above - we are now looking from the old master bedroom into the old home office. The irony being - this old master will now become the new home office.

We passed inspection! Clean up work after the concrete was poured. Great news is - it has all weekend to set!

A look down the hallway. Note - they opened up the ceiling joists and door jams - we will now have 8ft openings all dow the hallway. You'll not in a future picture the the trim and jam at the top of this doorframe will also be raised to 8ft.

We hadn't planned it, but Garth asked if we wanted the old panel wall to be removed, so we said "sure!" Smart move, as there was not drywall or insulation behind it.

Remember those while cabinets and W&D story - well, check out that area now. Also, remember my comments earlier about how there just happened to be pipes where ever we wanted to place a door - well check out these beasts! (and yes, there will be a door going there shortly).
